This group of youth are just about the most talented set of high school kids I know. They had the amazing chance to play at our local county fair. Joining the stage of some HUGE names. It was my honor to document this big time in their lives.
It is rare that I do weddings, but I come out of “wedding retirement” it’s for amazing couples like this one! The Vogelsangs have a beautiful story of how God brought them together. I heard bits and pieces of it at the reception and it had me crying. It makes it enjoyable to be part of a day of true celebration and joy.
It’s been a LONG while since I have photographed a wedding. Granted, I LOVE to be the second photographer for such amazing wedding photographers as Erin Anderson Photography (HOUSTON) and Rachel DeBell Photography (Dallas). Those are some incredibly talented wedding photographers! But as for me, I just don’t photograph weddings anymore.
One of my friends from my HPU college days contacted me when she got engaged and asked me to come out of “wedding photography retirement” for her big day. If you have ever had the pleasure of knowing Catherine…her kind heart, her love for the Lord and her excitement for life, you would do just as I did…I happily said “ok!” After hearing a little about her fiancé and their love story, I knew that this wedding would be a my joy to photograph.
The wedding day began with a few little showers…but ended up being a beautiful sunny day in Giddings, Texas. I could go on and on about this wedding…but I will let the pictures tell the story. Special thanks to Rachel DeBell for being my unbelievably talented second photographer. She helped me during my “rusty” moments and captured details in ways I would have never seen. Thank you for sharing your talents!
This post has been a LONG time coming. After having Adele, I decided to pull away from wedding photography for a little while. I just needed more time with her and wanted to be free to give her as much attention as she needs. It was bitter sweet to photograph my last wedding (for the time being). It was a blessing that my last wedding was with such a loving and kind couple. Amanda and Patrick were absolutely amazing to work with. Their friends and family were so kind and ready to celebrate with the new couple. They have been married for several months now, again, this post was a long time coming. Best wishes to you both!
My sister, Rachel DeBell helped photograph with me. I recommend her HIGHLY for your wedding day coverage.
This was my second to the last wedding to photograph for quite some time. I have waited to blog it till I got my new blog. I wanted it to have a pretty place to make it’s debut. Here are the amazingly kind Tuckers! I sure do miss seeing them!
Special thanks to Rachel DeBell for her fantastic photographic help!
